No More Room in Hell 2 Guns – Full Weapon List & Calibers Guide
Complete breakdown of all No More Room in Hell 2 guns, including caliber types, magazine sizes, damage notes, and weapon attachment options.
Overview
No More Room in Hell 2 organizes its firearms by caliber rather than by weapon class. Every gun in the game requires a specific ammo type, and you cannot mix ammunition between different calibers. This page covers every ranged weapon currently in No More Room in Hell 2, including magazine sizes, damage characteristics, and which attachments fit each firearm.
Firearms in No More Room in Hell 2 are loud. Using them attracts zombies, and ammo can be scarce, so most players rely on melee weapons as their primary tool and reserve guns for emergencies. If you do fire a weapon, aim for headshots—most guns can kill a normal zombie with one well-placed shot.

How to Obtain Guns
No More Room in Hell 2 does not use a fixed loadout system for most weapons. Guns are found through exploration during missions rather than purchased or unlocked. There are two exceptions:
- Model 13 revolver – Currently the default starting ranged weapon for all players.
- Small Pipe – Currently the default starting melee weapon.
All other firearms must be located in the field. Weapons spawn based on map layout and difficulty, but specific spawn locations are not documented in the current source material. Ammunition is similarly scavenged, and you will need to match the correct caliber to each weapon you carry.
Uses and Combat Notes
Ammo Conservation
The core tension of No More Room in Hell 2 is deciding when to fire. Guns are effective but draw attention. Unless you have a surplus of ammunition, the game's guidance is to rely on melee weapons and reserve firearms for situations where melee is not viable—such as dealing with red zombies or clearing a path through a dense crowd.
Caliber-Specific Damage
Each caliber has distinct breakpoints for killing zombies with headshots:
- One-shot calibers against normal zombies: .45 ACP, .357 Magnum, .308 Win, 6.8x51mm, 5.56mm, and 12 Gauge.
- Two-shot calibers against normal zombies: 9mm (unless the increased pistol damage perk is equipped, which enables one-shot kills with the M93A3).
- One-shot against red zombies: Only the 6.8x51mm M7A1 achieves this. All other calibers require two headshots on red zombies.
Shotgun Limb Severing
Both shotguns—the Fierra DB12 and the 590A1—can sever limbs. Shooting a zombie's legs can cripple it into a crawler, which is a useful crowd-control tactic.
Flashlight Mechanics
- One-handed weapons, including pistols, allow you to hold a flashlight in your offhand without lowering your weapon.
- The MP5 has a built-in flashlight that does not consume in-game flashlight batteries.
- The M9A3 can fit a pistol-mounted micro red dot sight, and it also supports an offhand flashlight.

Version Context
The current weapon roster reflects the state of the game as of the Reanimation update (April 15, 2025). The MP5 was previously noted as the first submachine gun added to the game.
The Shovel is listed as work-in-progress in the source material, meaning its full stats may not yet be finalized.
